74 - Sunflowers

I just got the new Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I really like getting this even though I don't really do much with it besides read it. This time though, I saw sunflowers. They are so pretty.
I'm seriously considering planting some in the backyard. They're easy to grow and like sun light. How challenging could it possibly be?
Tell me what you think? Should I plant some or not?

73 - Colors

I named this picture colors purely because the purple is so beautiful. I was being silly yesterday taking pictures of myself and accidentally snapped one of my chest. I really didn't mean to do that. When I saw the picture though, I knew it was the picture for the day. I really think it's a neat perspective.

72 - A Girl's Best Friend

Taj is just so sweet! I was doing homework for hours on end and he just wanted to spend time with me. He obviously got bored waiting for me to finish.

Here is the Taj Mahal, snoozing on my chair looking like the happiest cat in the world. I would have to say, my cats ... well they gotta be a girl's best friend!

71 - Golf Class

Golfing is fun. I've been a few times and I really enjoy it. I'm so excited that I get to take a golfing class this summer that counts as my P.E. credit.
This picture is of the balls I'm about to kindly toss down the green with my 7 iron. I learned that your legs give the ball distance, that proper hand position keeps your hands comfortable, and that if you are nice to the ball it will actually go far.
I had a great time at class. I even got kudos from the teacher on my skills. Woo Woo! Tiger Woods watch out!

70 - Shipment to Joplin, MO

Wow! People really pulled through and donated a lot to this family in Joplin. I couldn't believe how much stuff we were able to send. The total box count was 25 boxes. On top of that, my mail room at work offered to pay the shipping.

It just warms my heart to know there are so many people willing to help.

We plan on sending another shipment out there in a few weeks.

69 - Neighbors are moving!

I know this is awful, but I'm really thrilled these people are moving. When I first moved in, these neighbors kept a dog outside 24/7. The poor thing was mean and barked ALLLLLL the time. They were fined several times before actually losing the dog. Then they got a wiener dog, and did the same thing.
Now that the wiener dog has been gone for awhile, they exchanged the wild animal barking for noisy teenagers that like to party during the week.
These neighbors have been nice to my face, but cruel to friends as well. One of them egged some of our friend's cars and possibly gave a flat tire to another friend. They just are nasty.
So needless to say, I was thrilled to see the U-Haul trailer there. I wanted to cheer as they drove off down the road. I'm so bad.

68 - Closet full of food

The recent tornado disaster in Joplin, MO has me on "appreciate everything I have" mode. I was just grabbing a snack and when I opened the closet door, I knew that I needed a picture of this.
People in Joplin lost everything in the F5 tornado. I can't imagine what that was like or how they are feeling. So to try to help, I mentioned to a few people I was sending a care package to a family out there that lost everything plus 3 family members.
There just isn't enough we can do. It breaks my heart.

67 - New Shoes

I love getting new shoes! There is just something about wearing them that make me so happy. I ordered a pair from online at the beginning of the month. When they showed up, they were too big. I shipped them back and exchanged them for these adorable flats.
I've worn these a few times now and I will say they are very comfortable. They go with everything too.
I can't wait to get another pair. I want some fancy summer sandals now and some heels for the dress I'm wearing to a wedding coming up. Shopping time!

66 - Ladies Night Out

Bunco...one of my favorite nights of the month! I have been playing for over 2 years now and it is still as fun as the first time I played. I truly have wonderful girlfriends. The girls that I play with are completely and genuinely some of the greatest women I know.
Another bonus...I won a $15 gift card to Target! Now that makes for a great night with the girls!

65 - Weekend Relaxation Technique

Ah, Blue Moon after working. There is nothing like relaxing to a nice beer after some tiring days.

After work, I met Rob and friends at a local pub for dinner. It was nice. I had this great jalapeno burger with this beer. I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep at the table. Talk about ready for bed at 7. Geez!

After I ate and finished one more beer, I headed home. We sat by the cast iron fire pit outside for a bit and then I was done after that. I slept great that night. Thank you Blue Moon for chillaxin' me after a exhausting few days.

64 - Granny

I forgot to post this picture before the Konk picture. This is my grandma. She's a very happy and lovable grandma, the best ever to walk the earth. This woman is kind, loving, knowledgable, strong...so many things. She is someone I hope to be like. I love my Grandma!

63 - Rainy Day

Well, we've been having lots of rainy days, which is fine with me. I'm happy as long as it isn't snow. This pictures is the wet driveway before I was getting ready to leave. Most would think this is an odd picture...but honestly I love it. Rain is intriguing to me. It is beautiful and refreshing. I am enjoying this wet spring we are having. It will be a short time before summer hits and it is hot.

62 - The Grand Casino

My dad said that The Grand (Casino) has great alligator. So of course we had to try it. I was impressed. Alligator actually is good. I only had a bite though, not a whole meal. Instead I ordered their catfish. It was AMAZING! I wanted to walk around the casino and check it out. Here is a shot from above. I thought the glass, flame statue thing was pretty neat too!

61 - Day at the Pond

Going on vacation should generally be relaxing. And this time, there was one full day of relaxing. My dad, Rob, and I walked over to the pond near his home. We hung out there for a little while enjoying the scenery, trying to fish, and appreciating the time we have together. It is days like these I want to hold on to the memories forever, simply because I don't know how many of these I will get. Life is short and sometimes we waste time not making enough memories with the ones we love.

So enjoy! I am sharing lots of pictures for this day because I was having fun with the camera.

My Dad and Rob

Turtle swimming

Rob fishing

Is that The Incredible Mr. Limpet?

The camera was stolen from the photographer. I don't know why I look so mad. Maybe because I was super focused on fixing the tangled line.

At least the fishermen caught one! Yes, the both caught one each. This is flippin' Sebastian...just because that's what I named him!

60 - Man's Best Friend

I'm happy to say that I finally got to meet this character, Konk. He is absolutely adorable and is very loving. He meets guests with excitement and love. I will say that I fell in love with him after a few moments with him.
His fur is soft, his kisses are sloppy, his face is squeeshy, and he is very happy. Konk, the next big thing!

59 - Sweet's Salt Water Taffy

My Aunt asked me to pick up some salt water taffy for her last week, so I've been on the hunt. I found Sweet's online and stopped by their store today.

When I walked in, I was a little nervous (phew) and saw a tiny story inside a giant building. There was tons of candy. There was a woman there to help me and she explained everything. Yes, sometimes while shopping for things I don't normally shop for, I need help.

Anyway, after I loaded up a bag for my aunt, I couldn't help myself...I needed one too! I got myself a pound of the salt water taffy. It's soooo good! I'll be back, shoot it will make great presents for everyone too.

58 - Fighting

Usually before bed, the cats wrestle. It's what these felines do. They just don't do it too much on the bed. Tonight though, the were wrestling like maniacs on the bed.
Here is the only decent picture of several that I got. You can see Ava's mouth open but you can't tell what's going on.
If you look closely, Taj is straddling her biting her, so she is biting his ear. It is quite entertaining to watch these two. I think Ava gets more irritated but she puts up with it. Taj always pounces when she gets comfy. So this is what I deal with ever night.

57 - I Hate Laundry

I put it off for over a week, and now I'm definitely hating myself for doing that. What you're looking at is one basket full of 3 loads of laundry.

This was not the beginning of it nor is it the end. Before these 3 loads, I did 2 and after these 3 loads, there are 3 more to do.

I wish laundry wasn't so time consuming, and I wish someone would put the clothes away for me. Sometimes I think that's the worst part.

Just have to say it ... I HATE LAUNDRY!

56 - Wishing for Summer

I'm not the only one looking outside these days waiting for sunshine. Even the animals are dying for nicer weather. All I can say is that I'm glad we're getting rain and not snow. Can't wait for summer!

55 - Finish Line

This year I participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure fundraiser, I walked 3.2 miles and was able to raise $520. This was a wonderful event which I plan on being a part of for many more years.
This picture is the finish line. The walk took my team about an hour to finish. It was a beautiful day and I'm so glad the people I love were there to enjoy it with me. I am going to encourage as many people as I can to participate with me next year too.

54 - $5 Jewelry Night

My dearest cousin invited me over for a little party. It was $5 jewelry night. It was awesome. All the cute necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and headbands were desirable enough to make a girl go bankrupt. I'm on a budget though so I only got 2 things.

These pretty flower earrings were my first pick. I loved this party, thought it was a great idea, and can't way for another friend to host the party. YAY for $5 jewelery!

53 - Cinco De Mayo

Ahhh cinco de mayo, oh how I love you. I mostly love the barbecue and the coronas.

We had a barbecue at my house and invited the neighbors over. I would say overall it was a good time.

Not much to say other than it was a good time.

52 - The Binder

I learned some excellent lessons about a resume and cover letter from a friend. Before I kept the details of my career trapped in this binder. What I found out, is if I use this binder for a future attempt to get a job, it might hinder me.

The meeting with my friend went wonderfully! I learned so much and I'm very thankful for my friends.

Every friend has a lesson for us; this particular friend taught me some serious life skills that I was totally clueless about. I can honestly say that if I went out looking for a job now, the skills I learned from her will definitely land me any job I want. Thank you!

51 - Excellent Student

Coming home from school, exhausted and ready for bed, I decided I would see if my computer class grades were up. I was so excited to see the comment from my teacher about my ePorfolio. Needless to say, I feel like an excellent student and I got an A in that class! WOO HOO me!

50 - Cats Distracting Study Time

One day before the math final, and I'm trying to cram. It's really hard to study though when these little terrors want to play on my homework.
Anytime I really need to sit down and focus, there they are ready to distract me so they get all my attention. I love them a lot but sometimes I need to lock them up. LOL! Just kidding, I never lock them up. I actually give them toys to play with instead so they'll let me get what I need to get done done.

49 - Study Time

Ah, Sunday study time. I'm attempting to prepare myself for my comprehensive math final. It's not fun and I don't feel prepared at all. See here, that's the coffee I'm having to consume to keep my brain focused on the task. If I'm not alert, I don't retain anything.

Finals week really are not that stressful, but when you are doing something you're unsure of...that's when the anxiety kicks in.

I'll be studying more tonight hoping I can retain everything. I'm hoping for an A+ in the class actually. Everyone, please cross your fingers I can remember all the rules, formulas, and key words in a question. Math isn't easy and sometimes can be quite frustrating. If I can tattoo the simple how to's in my brain, then I'm golden! Wish my luck, final is in 30 hours!

48 - Breakfast at Mimi's

A friend and I have been planning to go to breakfast for quite some time. We finally went Saturday morning to Mimi's Cafe. It was sooo good!
I was craving crepes and didn't see any on the menu. Fortunately for us, we had a great waitress and she was able to have some made for me.
this is my tasty breakfast which was way to much food. I ate all of the mixed fruit crepes but couldn't make a dent on the potatoes. Mimi's has great food for a great price.
It was so nice to meet with my friend and catch up on our lives. It is so important to me to let my friends know how much I value them. I hope that I can do more stuff like this because it really does make a difference in so many areas of my life.
