I wonder

18 - Classroom

It seemed like today's class would never end. While many of us checked the clock every ten minutes to see how much longer, most of us tried to take notes on how we got to the quadratic formula. Math isn't fun for anyone, but oddly I understand how to do it.

Anyway, today's picture is an after class view. Everyone leaves as fast as they can except a few who are striving for that A in the class. I wish I could've got a better shot that shows the math on the board, but I was getting a weird look from a fellow classmate. So this is what you get!

The classroom...

17 - Every Girl Loves Jewelry

I bought some jewelry from a good friend's jewelry party last week. I'm always hesitant to buy jewelry because it's expensive. I gave in because there were two things I HAD to have.

Yesterday when I got back to my desk, there was my order. I was so happy to see exactly what I got, hold it in my hand and imagine what I'm going to wear with these new items.

Sometimes you have to treat yourself. We work, work, work and don't spend enough time and energy on ourselves that sometimes we lose the idea that we really should value ourselves. What I mean is after we work, we give to others --we give time, love, energy, gifts, thoughts, etc. How often do we give to ourselves?

I work hard and I want to treat myself to more things because I know I deserve them. I don't care if anyone disagrees with me either. I feel I'm important and I have earned what I get. So with that, I just gotta say it ... every girl loves jewelry! That's why I buy it for myself!

16 - Spring's Sunrise in SLC

On my drive to work, I get to see some of the most beautiful sunrises. There is nothing like watching the sun rise over the Rocky Mountains just about to peak through the clouds. The mountains glow with happiness to feel the heat, the sky shines as bright as a sun burst, and I delight in the amazingly beautiful sight.

I truly feel like Utah has some of the most breath taking sunrises and sunsets. I've been all over the country and across the big ocean, and I still believe Utah has this scenery that looks like a painting. Nothing is comparable.

I often complain about living here. I'm not a snow girl at all, but one thing I would miss if I moved away is the natural beauty.

I love skyscrapers, I love the ocean, I love flat landscapes that look like they go on forever; but our mountains have an unexplainable gorgeousness about them. They shelter us from so much, including life outside of the valley.

Needless to say, I love this sunrise. I will admit that it's obvious I played with photo-shop on a few of these just to see what would happen, but the top picture here is what I saw. It was genuinely exquisite. I wish I wasn't in the car -- that I was sitting on a porch somewhere with a cup of coffee, trying to wake up while watching the sun make it's entrance over the Salt Lake City valley.

15 - Homework View

An open laptop. A college website. A boring class. This is what I experienced today.

As a college student, I don't have a lot of time for playing. Okay, I'll be honest, I shouldn't have any time for playing. Though, I often find myself sneaking time for myself, today was note one of those days.

The end of the semester is coming up soon and I have a lot of homework to get done in order to ensure my success this semester.

I have spent many hours staring at this screen. I plan to spend many more hours staring at this screen. The intent is to accelerate my life in an extremely successful and useful career.

Eventually, I want a hot pink Macbook that has a bigger screen than this ... for my aging eyes. :)

14 - New IPhone Gives Hours of Entertainment

Alright, this picture is not pretty, it is not interesting, it isn't even artistic. This picture is just funny.

I got this great application for my iPhone 4 called CamWow. It's like those crazy mirrors at the state fair that distorts your face. I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken with this app., too many too share. Most of them are of me. Would it be vain for me to post a picture of myself?

So this picture is Ava, my darling little domestic feline princess. She has been sick lately, between a stomach issue to eye infections, she has been more lazy than normal and not talking to me as much. So in this picture she was begging for my attention. She was purring, following me around and just waiting for me to pet her.

Once I obeyed, she just laid there. I had to start taking the pictures.

I must say, this app. is awesome and plan to take many more pictures with it.

13 - Cranium trains my brain

Sometimes I need a little break from my routine. Fortunately, I've made friends with people who enjoy playing old school board games. Recently, Cranium was introduced into my household, and ever since it's been a hit.

This game gets you acting silly, testing your knowledge and shows your artistic side. I would 100% recommend this game to anyone willing to have a good time.

This game definitely tests me and actually trains my brain on things I have forgotten and things I need to learn.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO THOSE WHO LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!

12 - Geese at the Pond

We are still getting snow, and it's Spring. Okay, I know we get snow in the Spring time, but I'm seriously over it!

Regardless of how I feel about the weather here, I got a great picture of the geese at the pond, location: Franklin Covey.

The people at Franklin Covey hate the geese. These geese terrorize employees and guests alike, and yet they leave me alone. This is how I see them.

I've been nicknamed "The Goose Whisperer." It's silly but I like it. The geese don't chase me, they don't honk at me, try to bite me or stalk me when I pull into the parking lot. They stare at me and do nothing and I don't have to worry about running away from them in fear, unlike everyone else.

This picture demonstrates the little demons as they are, gentle and curious about me. They are probably wondering what I'm doing and thinking the same thing as me, oh how I hate the cold.

Although the odd storm came and went, and I really didn't enjoy it, I got some great pictures of geese, ducks and sideways rain.

11 - Life's Pathway

I've always wondered why college campuses are so nice. They are enticing. Maybe just to me because I know by going there, I'll have a much better future.

I can't wait for the day that I'm wearing a beautiful cap and gown, waiting in cold, metal seat for professors to announce my name to receive my degree. I have visualized this day many times. Eventually, my dream will you come true.

I've titled this picture Life's Pathway simply because I believe this path will lead me to where I want to be in my professional career.

Taking this walk to a building full of teachers and fellow students will guide me on my journey to be successful. I look forward to the day I can say farewell and thank you at the same time. It will be a bittersweet day.

This pathway is the way to accomplishing one of my biggest goals, getting my degree.

10 - Snoozin' Pup

Alright, I'll admit that I did not take this picture. But this baby is too cute to not share with the world. My dad sent me this picture of his puppy, Konk, on Wednesday. Konk is a mix of English Bull Dog and Sharp Pei. He got his name because he has a tendency to konk his head on pretty much every thing in his path.
Dogs really are a man's best friend. They're happy to see you no matter what and they generally don't get mad at their master. They love you unconditionally and stay loyal until they die. They leave deep impressions on our hearts and souls. I strongly believe that any person that doesn't understand this, doesn't understand what it means to be loved unconditionally.
So this is my dad's snoozin' pup. And if I didn't know better, I would say this dog owns my dad rather than vice versa. I can't wait to meet him so he can leave his little paw prints on my heart.

9 - Bennie Knows Best

Today is a beautiful day. Regardless of the cold temperatures and the breeze, it's sunny and clear. Seeing this statue of Benjamin Franklin sitting on a bench with a friendly bird (or is that an eagle) and the paper just reminds me how much I miss summer time.
Benjamin Franklin is one of the brilliant minds that shaped how we live today. He is a staple in the business at my work. He also inspired me when creating my vision board this year.

He listed 13 virtures that he thought were essential to living a fulfilled life. I have read the virtures and I have taken on the challenge to work on those throughout this year.

I will admit, I'm not trying super hard but it is something I think about and I look at my vision board with a desire to succeed. I truly believe that Bennie knows best and set a great guide on how to live one's life.

8 - Bud Light Left Behind

Today is worthy of two pictures. Why? Because no one ever pulls into the driveway of their home to see a box of Bud Light sitting next to their door.

Initially my thought was, "Who left trash at my front door?" But I quickly shifted that pessimistic thought to a more positive tone. I then said out loud, "Did my neighbors leave us a present?"

As soon as I pulled into the garage and turned the car off, I jumped out of my car and ran to the front door. What I found was a Bud Light box filled with beer. Okay, not completely filled, but there was around 7 or 8 cans in there. This is delightful, mostly because beer is expensive and to get it as a gift is like a sign from the heavens that I'm loved.

Did I get this lovely present because I offered to house stalk? Did I get this delicious treat because I always share? Did I get this satisfying booze because I'm a good neighbor?

Whatever the reason behind this gift, I'm a happy camper. This Bud Light will not be left behind.

7 - Fortune Cookie's Fortune

I'm on a Panda Express kick right now. It seems I have to eat there every Sunday. That place just makes me happy.

Regardless if I finish all my food, I always eat my fortune cookie right away. When I received my little, white paper yesterday I laughed. It said, "You have a good head for matters of money." This was funny to me because sometimes I can be an impulse shopper and I often want to purchase things I don't need.

In the last couple of years though, I've become better at managing my money. I try to budget it and think about what I'm spending my hard earned cash on. It's not easy, but the end result is worth it.

Maybe my fortune yesterday means I will continue getting better with my financial matters. Maybe it means I should stay diligent with what I'm doing now. Maybe it means that I will have great success. Or maybe it's a warning to watch myself on my purchases.

Whatever this fortune cookie's fortune means, I like it.

6 - Pineapple Salsa Delight

Salsa just tastes good. All salsa. I think I found my new favorite one at the grocery store the other day. This treat is the pineapple salsa. You would never think to put fruit in a salsa which is primarily veggies and spices, but fruit actually combines well with the veggie and spices mixture.
The salsa is so satisfying I can't stop eating it. I'll have to buy more and then learn how to make it. I wish I could explain in more detail the joy I get from this salsa and the flavors and textures too, I can't. It's simply delightful.

Go buy some!

5 - Winning

Bunco is one of my favorite nights of the month. A group of amazing women get together to play a dice game. Amongst this group of women are some of the best friends I have ever met. They are loving, honest, strong, sincere and so many other great qualities. If I had not met these women, I would have been losing in some parts of my life. They help make me a better woman.
When we all get together, we dine, we drink, we laugh and then we play a competitive, loud game to try to get the most points. Usually we are happy about the night even if one of us is not the winner, but winning makes the night a 100% joy!
This picture is the prize I won for hitting the most boobies. I was so excited about this because it's going to come in handy once the sun comes out and the heat rises. This is a holder for a drink tub. Perfect for the days we BBQ and want our drinks right next to us, cold.
Without friends, life just doesn't have the same happiness. My friends are the people that inspire me to be better. Regardless if I win at bunco, I can honestly say that I'm winning because I have my friends.
P.S.

4 - Infectious Purring

The love of your animal is like no other. They love you unconditionally and will remain loyal until the end. They teach you so much about yourself, things you didn't even think you could learn.
They are family. They are funny. They are playful. They are affectionate. They are so many things that bring happiness to my life.

These sweets paws of my Ava, were lounging in her chair today. The rhythmic purring and sweet smile on her face shows how content she is. Through the hard times, she is there testing me and loving me.

Days like today, sitting in the window and watching her relax, reminds me that life is easy, as long as I choose for it to be that easy. Sharing these moments with her puts me at ease about my feelings of life. I love these little paws and her infectious purring, I can't imagine my life right now without her.

3 - Does it have the same meaning?

Every time I see the American flag, I know what it means to me. I wonder though, has the value and meaning changed for most Americans. I remember a day when I was so proud to be an American, I was willing to sign a contract to fight ... fight for this flag and what it means to be an American. Times have changed, things are very different. My opinions about what this flag represents are stronger and different, this could be because the world has changed or because people evolve into things we aren't proud of. I'm not as naive as I once was, and the things I now know make me look at this flag in a different light.
One thing I'm sure of, my heart and mind still go to the same place every single time I see the flag flying high, even though my opinions are not the same as when I was a child. It's a symbol of freedom and hope.
I have the freedom to be who I need to be and so does everyone around me. I have hope that our country will get back to the roots we came from and put the same value on life as it should be. I am proud of this symbol, are you?

2 - Sinful Sweetness

Look at the shape, look at the color, imagine feeling the bubbles of carbonation and syrup slide down your throat and experience the immediate sugar satisfaction as you consume this delightful treat. There is nothing like sinful sweetness to boost your mood.

1 - Rainbow Magic

This rainbow came at the perfect time, just before St. Patrick's Day. I love how the colorful light fades into the clouds hinting to us that we may never find the pot of gold. Because of its intriguing path, this specific rainbow creates a curiosity in me to go on the challenging adventure to try to find that gold. Rainbows remind me of miracles and hope, that they do happen.
